When you get caught up in the heavy years, the system tries to put your life into a filing cabinet or a cage. I took the literal paperwork—the suspended license that grounded me, the rehab certificates that marked the rebuild—and turned them into the foundation of this piece.
Cages and walls are a failure of the system, designed to strip away humanity. But walls can't hold a mind that knows how to recover. This piece is the physical bridge between the chaos of the past and the solid ground I stand on now.
